Description
The VW Crafter underslung LPG kit is specifically designed for the new shape VW Crafter and MAN TGE from when the chassis change from 2017. The space underneath the vehicle can be maximised using our specially designed brackets, by mounting a 30ltr tank into the OS chassis outriggers. These purpose made brackets have been designed in house by Autogas 2000 Leisure Ltd with collaboration with our CAD designers.
The new, British-made cradles are laser cut and folded to offer a secure underslung LPG mounting. They slide over the modified VW Crafter outriggers and bolt to the van floor, spanning the width of the old outrigger ensuring maximum strength. For an alternative method of fixing, the brackets have been designed so they can be cross drilled and bolted. This prevents you have to go through the floor to attach the brackets. In both cases, the new Autogas 2000 Leisure Ltd brackets retain floor strength on the vehicle.
This fixing also allows the tank to simply be lifted into position during install and can in later be removed for any service type of work that may be required. Rubber insulation is also used between the tank and mounting frame to further protect the tank from any corrosion build up between the two metal surfaces. The sill mounting filler with bracket is supplied in this kit and suits the lower sill of this vehicle, contact us direct if you require a different filler. Autogas 2000 Leisure Ltd recommend that the tank and associated fixings are further treated after install with a suitable underbody stone guard protection paint. This is not provide in the kit but is easily .
Various tank regulators are available please discuss your requirements but in the case of this kit we have used the remote Cavagna 30mb regulator. A LED switched gauge and sender are both included in this kit. This gives a clear dashboard reading of the gas amount remaining inside the tank from inside the van.
